Hey Tomlola, a bloke had a 2.8 TD Patrol that was a hail damage write off. Otherwise I would have most likely gone the Spider.Īny particular recommendations for or against any of those? I've located a second hand DP chip for a good price so my decision got alot easier. DP chip - $1400 approx - 121kw to 139kw and torque from 373nm to 429nm Steinbauer $1200 approx - 121kw to 145kw & torque 373nm to 448nm Tunit chip - $1200 approx - 121kw to 138kw and torque from 373nm to 429nm Turbotech Digi ZM - $750 approx - 118kw to 139kw & 373nm to 440nm. Spider - (Bushskinz4x4 on Pajero Forum) - mid $600's approx - 121kw to 143kw & 373nm to 450nm Chipit (advertise on Pajero Forum ) - mid $600's approx for a common rail motor (a couple of months away for a wire in on a DiD motor) - 121kw to ?kw & 373nm to ?nm fuel economy – they all seems to claim say 10% - 20% improvement – it seems to me any improvement is likely to be due to smaller throttle openings when driven normally due to the extra power across the range, perhaps holding higher gears longer etc, but when driven in anger these chips will probably use the same, or even more fuel the brands below seems to cover the main ones I’ve seen on the forum / on the internet and eBay / in 4wd mags I know there are heaps of diesel chip threads on the forum, I’m considering one for my truck and am collating info for myself, so I thought I’d share:
